I've lived in Douglas County since 1995, and I've been helping people buy and sell homes here since 2015. That's eleven years, a lot of kitchen table conversations, and more miles on these back roads than I care to add up.
Before real estate, I worked as a quality control tech in plywood. It sounds like an odd road into this job. It turned out to be the most useful thing I brought with me. I know how a house is actually put together. I have also remodeled my own, which taught me the rest of it, mostly the hard way.
So when we walk through a home together, I am not just looking at the finishes. I am looking at what is behind them. What is a real problem and what is cosmetic. What a repair actually costs. What is worth walking away from. Buyers tell me it changes how they see a house. Sellers tell me it changes what they bother fixing before we list.
The rest is simple. I answer my phone. I tell you what I think, including when it is not what you were hoping to hear. I would rather you buy the right house in three months than the wrong one this weekend.
